Privacy Statement

Last Updated: May 7, 2026

This Privacy Statement explains how BeepBoop handles information when you use the BeepBoop website, simulation game, calculators, projections, content, and related features, collectively referred to as the "Service."

1. Summary

BeepBoop is designed to collect as little personal information as possible.

The simulator is designed to process your financial inputs locally in your browser and not intentionally store those inputs in an application database. Standard web infrastructure may still process limited technical information when you visit the site.

Do not enter information into the Service that you are not comfortable using in a browser-based tool.

2. Information You Provide

Depending on the features you use, you may enter information such as income, savings, debt, expenses, age, location, household assumptions, career assumptions, retirement assumptions, and optional demographic inputs.

BeepBoop uses this information to generate simulations and outputs in your browser. This information is not intentionally collected, stored, sold, or used to identify you.

Note: even if BeepBoop does not intentionally store your simulator inputs, your browser, device, extensions, screen recording tools, workplace monitoring software, or third-party services may separately capture or retain information.

3. Information Automatically Processed

Standard web infrastructure may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages requested, and basic server logs. This may be processed by hosting, security, or analytics providers.

4. Do Not Enter Sensitive Financial Information

Do not enter Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, login credentials, or any information you would not want exposed if your device or network were compromised. Use approximate values where possible.

5. How Information Is Used

Information may be used to operate and display the Service, generate simulations, maintain and debug the Service, monitor performance and security, and comply with legal obligations.

6. Browser Storage

BeepBoop does not use cookies. The Service uses browser sessionStorage only to remember minor UI state (such as the position of a draggable element) within your current browser session. This data is cleared automatically when you close the tab.

If you use the shareable link feature, your simulation inputs are compressed and stored in the URL itself (the #mp=... fragment). This link is generated locally in your browser and is only shared if you choose to copy and send it. It is not stored on our servers.

If you use a shared or public device, clear your browser session or use private browsing mode after use.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

BeepBoop may use third-party providers for hosting, deployment, security, analytics, or error tracking. These providers may process technical information as necessary to provide their services, governed by their own terms.

8. Data Sharing

BeepBoop does not intentionally sell your simulator inputs. We may share information with service providers, if required by law, to protect safety or rights, in connection with a business transaction, or with your consent.

9. Security

We use reasonable efforts to operate the Service securely, but no website or transmission method is completely secure. Use a trusted device and network. Avoid entering highly sensitive information.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Your Choices

You can clear your browser history, cache, and session storage at any time. You may also use private browsing mode, which prevents sessionStorage from persisting across sessions. Contact us with any privacy questions.

12. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information. Contact us at the email below to make a request.

13. International Users

The Service is primarily intended for users in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed in the United States.

14. Changes to This Privacy Statement

We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes are posted means you acknowledge the updated statement.
